FYI: Thom Yorke has renamed his band and they're playing Boston on April 8. Tickets on sale next week!
UPDATE: Tickets to Thom Yorke & Atoms for Peace, April 8 at the Citi Center in Boston, go onsale March 5 at 10 am. CitiCenter says it's a "100-percent forced will-call show," which means everyone has to pick up their tickets at the venue on the night of the show.
Thom Yorke has changed the name of his non-Radiohead band from the somewhat confusing "Thom Yorke????" to "Atoms for Peace," a moniker he describes as "bleedin' obvious." The rest of Atoms for Peace's lineup includes Radiohead and Beck producer Nigel Godrich, session drummer extraordinaire Joey Waronker (another Beck collaborator who's also worked with Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, and R.E.M.), Marco Refosco, and, yes, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. In addition to a previously-announced Coachella appearance, they're planning on touring this spring, which will bring thm to the Citi Wang Theatre on April 8. Hip-hop dude Flying Lotus opens.
