In what may very well be the most important political event of the year, two presidential candidates are scheduled to debate this Friday evening in Salem, Massachusetts.

Actually, it will almost certainly not be even slightly important. It might even make a complete mockery of presidential politics and debates.
In other words: don't miss it!
The two candidates facing off are ALEISTER CROWLEY, deceased Englishman, philosopher, and perhaps Satanist; and VERMIN LOVE SUPREME, inveterate campaigner and dental-hygiene enthusiast.
Crowley — should he not reanimate — will be represented by Joseph Thiebes, who coordinates Crowley's write-in campaign at ac2012.com. The debate will be moderated by me, David S. Bernstein of the Boston Phoenix.
Crowley and Supreme have feuded ever since I set them against each other, back in the spring.
Both have been excluded from previous presidential debates, which have been restricted to fringe candidates who reject modern science, history, and economics. But now, the great sovereign citizenry will get a chance to hear both Crowley and Supreme make their case for your votes.
In fact, you can go to thePhoenix.com/debate2012 to submit your own questions for the candidates.
The Aleister Crowley–Vermin Love Supreme presidential debate will be held at the Knights Templar Oasis at 175 Essex Street (second floor) in Salem, on Friday, October 28, at 8 pm.
