I LIKE THAT BETTER. Yeah, it's a good title. I met her over satellite, over the miracle of modern technology. I was doing a TV show, and she was on it, and we got along and I had known of her for a couple of years through other miracles of modern technology, such as watching her on television. And thought to myself, that's the kind of Republican I would be, if I could stomach the Republican party. Which I cannot. And she was on Twitter when I was on Twitter one night and I just said, we should write a book together. And she thought I was joking, and I wasn't. And then we started emailing and now we're writing a book.

YOU GUYS ROAD-TRIPPED ACROSS THE COUNTRY TOGETHER TO WRITE IT? Yup, we were roadtripping for all of July. We were in an RV.

WHERE DID YOU GO? Cities mostly. And towns. You know, places. All over. We went to Vegas, and Salt Lake City, and Nashua, and Branson, Memphis and Detroit, Pittsburgh, DC. All kinds of places.

WHAT WAS THE FUNNIEST/MOST EXCITING/CRAZIEST THING THAT HAPPENED WHILE YOU WERE ON THE ROAD? You'll have to read the book.

IS IT GOING TO BE COMEDY BOOK? I think it will be comedic. But I think there will be some serious parts in there too. I would say it will largely be comedic.

IS MEGHAN MCCAIN FUNNY? She is, she's really funny.

ALL YOU GUYS FROMTHE STATE WERE SORT OF LIKE A COMEDY FRAT PACK WAY BEFORE JUDD APATOW'S CREW CAME INTO BEING. DO YOU MISS THOSE DAYS? No, I don't really think of it like that, because I see all those guys all the time anyway.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE SKETCH FROMTHE STATE? There's one that was my favorite, that's not as well known, that I'm not in, that I think was called Cutlery Barn? Or Pottery Hut? I can't remember. But it's just a single shot of five people just talking in dumb voices about their experiences at that store. And it just really made me laugh. I have fond memories of shooting it.

AND YOU SAID IT'S HARD TO GET YOU TO LAUGH. I know.

DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING THAT YOU'D LIKE TO ADD, ANYTHING UNBELIEVABLY IMPORTANT? Just that Boston is the greatest city in the entire world.

OH, NO. EVERYBODY WHO COMES HERE SAYS THAT. Yes, but I'm saying it just to get people to come to my show. I don't mean it. I don't give a shit about Boston, but I say it.

WELL, THEN, WHAT IF I SAID THAT BOSTON DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU? All right, then don't give a shit about me at the Wilbur Theatre. I look forward to everybody not giving a shit about me . . . but just show up.
