If the holiday lights hung over Harvard Avenue in Allston and along Central Square in Cambridge haven’t gotten you all rocked out for the season, then Polk Records is here to shove some aural yuletide cheer down your Baileys Irish Cream–coated throat. Head Polkster Albert Polk is throwing Polkfest 4, a 40-band, two-day all-ages local music fest to coincide with the release of his label’s Christmas compilation. The festive music, poetry, and art event includes sets by Night Fruit, Streight Angular, School for Robots, and comedian Matt Kona, and concertgoers are encouraged to wear “fancy-ball-style clothing or fun Christmas sweaters.” Get into the season.
